Good morning, Sunshine.

Mornings sure do come early these days. But there is something to beautiful about them. The calmness of the air, the smell of coffee brewing, kissing husband goodbye as he heads off to work. One of the best things about an early morning is the excitement and potential of the day ahead. Sometimes when I wake up early to make husband's lunch and see him off, I turn around and go right back to sleep. Other times, I get on my laptop and browse Pinterest or watch Netflix "so my mind can fully wake up", when in reality I laze around far longer than I need to. However, there are mornings that are fueled by the desire to accomplish. The desire to pursue. And the desire to work.
I need to focus on my goals and my dreams. How to make them happen, and what steps I need to take to get to those places.

So this month...

- I will set up a gentle early morning routine, and stick to it. I'm not asking myself to go to the gym at 5AM and lift dumbbells. But a routine that consists of a quiet time with the Lord, making my bed, doing some yoga or going for a morning walk. Things that will get me going in the right direction for my day.

- Wake up early enough to eat breakfast with my husband every morning.

- I will make a business plan for Nerium to make all of my deadlines. I will research training videos and truly invest in this new venture.

- I will read The Edge, by Jeff Olson

- I will relax, and not stress. Trusting the Lord as He guides my life.

- I will cultivate beauty and hospitality in our home. Realizing that our home may not be perfect, but the care I put into it is care that I put into our little family and the guests that share with us.

xo.

Engagements {Part Three}: The Lake

Our wedding date...and now, our Anniversary!

"Grow old along with me!
The best is yet to be."
{Robert Browning}

Engagements {Part Two}: The Field

The field was my favorite.
 {as you can see by the amount of pictures in this post}

Engagements {Part One}: The Depot

My {now} husband and I had the pleasure of getting our engagement photos done by the always fabulous Bethany Cubino. She spent the day with us as we traipsed around downtown, played in fields and cuddled by the lake.

These first photos take place at the downtown historic Depot. The site of our {at the time} future wedding!

Safe.
